2 easy methods for focus in business

Apr 19, 2018 | Abundance, Business, Focus

These are two very quick and easy methods, that you can use when you have something important to complete. You can also use them daily to boost your focus and productivity. Check them out and let us know how they work for you.

Method #1

For the first method you need a candle and a quiet comfortable place for about 10-15 minutes per day.

Light the candle and place it at the level of your eyes. Sit comfortably and concentrate on the flame. When you cannot look at the flame any longer, close your eyes and see the image of the flame with your inner eye. When the image disappears, open your eyes and concentrate on the flame again.

Do this for 10-15 minutes. This will clear your mind from all types of sticky and negative thoughts, and will also strengthen your memory.

Method #2

Ask yourself the following questions:

What is the ultimate result that I want from this day?

Why do I want this result? (What is driving me? What is motivating me?)

What is the most important thing that I need to have done in order to achieve this result?

Then block some time that you think would be necessary to complete this most important thing. This block of time might be 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or as much as you think you would need, but no more than 120 minutes.

Clean up the environment around you, so nothing distracts you. Place all tools necessary for this first task, like documents, camera, calculator, etc., in your working space. Take a watch and turn off your phone for the time block you defined.

In these minutes focus completely on what you planned as first and most important intent for the day. If you are distracted, remember your answer to the second question: Why do I want this? This will help you remember your motivation and get inspired to complete the work.

After that take a break. The break should be half the time you blocked for focused work. If you worked for 60 minutes, take a 30-minute break. If you worked for 120 minutes, take a 60-minute break, etc. During the break you can have lunch, take a walk outside, return any calls you missed, while you had your phone off, etc.

After that do another block of focused work. If you finished the most important task, then continue with the second important. If not, continue with the first one.

If you finish your most important task for the day, even if you do nothing else, you will still have advanced significantly and your day will be a success.

Then again take a break.

Do at least 3 blocks of focused work in one day. This way there is no doubt that you will be happy with the result at the end of the day.

Conclusion

These 2 methods are perfect for people working with documents, data and content.

You don’t need special training, office or cabinet. You just need motivation.
