Overcome negative internal dialogue
30 days of live videos – Day 9
In our live video yesterday, we gave a super easy and quick way to turn your negative internal dialogue to positive one. Do this exercise every morning for 30 days and your life will significantly change.
Your brain responds to specific stimuli. One of them is body position and movement. Another is language, especially if spoken out loud. Language also influences your emotions in a big way.
This is why in this exercise we combine body position and movement, with specific words (affirmation) and shouting out loud.
For this exercise, you can choose a different affirmation that feels better for your specific needs. You can try a few different affirmations and see which one feels best to you. You can change the affirmation after 30 days.
Examples for affirmations for creating a positive internal dialogue:
- I am enough!
- I love myself!
- I am amazing!
- I am a wonderful person!
It can be more specific like:
- I am a good mother!
- I am a good daughter!
- I am a good father!
- I am a good son!
- I am a good employee!
- I am a good manager!
In the video I use a bit longer one for being enough:
I am enough! I have enough! I have always been enough! And I will always be enough!
So you can think of something that suits you best at the current moment. Then test how it feels. Try a few until you find the one that feels best. Do it for 30 days. Then change with another one if you feel you need a change.
