Reiki works by directing the Universal energy that is all around us and within us. Life force flows within the physical body though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. Reiki masters and teachers have their energy pathways clean and open and they can direct the energy even from a distance.

Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy.

When receiving a Reiki session, most clients feel a sense of relaxation and peace. The mind may feel calm and your physical body should feel relaxed. Reiki is so relaxing that sometimes clients may fall asleep during the session. Don’t worry though, you will still receive all of the benefits of the session, even if you are sleeping. Actually, it is even better to be asleep during a Reiki session, as this way you will be most relaxed and will allow the Reiki energy to heal you and work for you.
